Variegated yarn

We've arrived on the South Coast at my parents and I knit another square (double moss stitch) in the traffic jams on the way.

As you may have noticed the Afghan friendship swap stipulates variegated 'wool'. I've never knit with any before so this, together with a new-found interest in knitting stitch patterns is proving to be the source of some fun. I'm wanting to see the different effects that the stitches have with different stitch patterns. My second square is in double moss stitch and the third will be a mitered square (recommended in several places for variegated yarn). I'm aiming to do some more investigation (net surfing/ book reading) and experimentation - of which there will be more to come in this blog. Now back to miter my square...

Happy Easter!
